Introduction
This website is a companion to the Identity Guidelines produced by Dublin City Council, which are designed to inform and assist staff and external users in the correct use and application of the Dublin City Council brand identity. It is essential that the identity and brand mark are used in a consistent manner, both internally and externally. Therefore, the requirements set out in this website must be adhered to at all times.
Objective
The overall objective is to increase the community recognition, awareness and confidence in the City Council through brand communication and to increase the effectiveness and consistency of Dublin City Council branding, whatever the medium.
Principles
All Dublin City Council internal and external communucations will carry the Dublin City Council corporate Brand Mark. Corporate Standards and best practice for publications, signage, paper and customer care will be followed.
Definitions
For the purpose of this guide:
- Communication includes all advertising, publications, stationery, forms, audiovisuals, web pages, signage and identity cards.
- Corporate Standards includes Irish Language, equality, communication and customer care.
- Best Practice includes writing, editing, plain English, communication and customer care.
