Creative Inc in The Sunday Business Post

Posted on February 23 2010

Creative Inc’s Commercial Director Niall Corcoran commentary article is published in The Sunday Business Post on February 7th, 2010.

Entitled “Brands bashed by the recession embark on their rebuilding jobs”, the piece focuses on the challenge for Irish companies hit by corporate turmoil.

“All is in turmoil and brands that have been held up as stalwarts of Ireland’s Celtic Tiger success are either no more, require serious make-over or their bones are being picked over through the many liquidations and examinerships that have occurred in the last 18 months.”

While there are many issues to be resolved the article points to the opportunities that lie ahead. “Through all this carnage will undoubtedly come opportunities for others to either acquire brands through receivership or liquidation and to revitalise and re-invigorate them, or to step into the gap that has been presented by the demise of others with a new and stronger brand proposition.”

We’re delighted that The LAB book has been selected for inclusion in Communication Arts Design Annual 2009, which celebrates the best design solutions of the year.

“It was overwhelming, in a positive way, to see so much good work in most of the categories,” Scott Arrowood said. “When you consider the hours behind all the beauty—concepting, type choices, meetings, etc.— it is naturally humbling.”

Support Barnardo’s Yes/No Child Poverty Campaign

Posted on November 11 2009

Barnardos, the children’s charity “where no child gets left behind” have commissioned Creative Inc to develop a pre-budget campaign aimed at protecting Ireland’s most vulnerable children from the worst affects of the upcoming budget.

While it is clear that difficult decisions have to be made in the current economic context, Barnardos believes that any decisions made in Budget 2010 must be both proportionate and fair. Our most vulnerable children cannot be made bear the brunt of recession with deepening poverty, disadvantage and social exclusion.
